After reading Hebrews 5:9 in our family devotions two weeks ago, we decided to try to memorize it with Joshua for his first memory verse. Since we regularly encourage Josh to obey Jesus, we liked the verse's connection of obedience to Jesus as a result of our salvation. Can't believe how quickly he memorized it! The testimony of a faithful mom at my sister's church said, "Pack as much of God's word into your child's heart as you can." With this first verse down, I'm psyched to PACK IT IN!
"And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,"
{Hebrews 5:9}
